The Department of Hygiene and Sanitation is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment in the municipality. This department is structured into two main units:
Hygiene, Sanitation and Waste Management Unit

Civil Protection and Environmental Unit

- Council Forestry and Green Spaces Section : This section is responsible for managing and protecting the council’s forests and green spaces. It oversees reforestation, afforestation and urban forestry activities, as well as biodiversity conservation.
